Performs troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance on various types of presses, conveyors, and other associated equipment.
Hourly pay range: $26.15 - $36.54
Essential Functions:
Performs emergency/unscheduled repairs on all production equipment.
Reads and interprets equipment prints/manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance repairs and service.
Performs all scheduled preventive maintenance on all assigned equipment.
Performs all lubrication and filtration duties on all equipment assigned.
Performs project maintenance as assigned.
Communicates at all levels within the company - Department Manager, Supervisors and Operators as well as with all members of the maintenance department.
Education and Training
High School Diploma or GED and related technical training.
Minimum of five (5) years On the Job maintenance training and experience in a factory equipment environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Possess experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and some electrical applications.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals and work orders.
Must be able to use measuring equipment, welders and have own hand tools.
Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well with others and work independently.
Consistently exhibit appropriate attendance habits, working the hours necessary to perform the job.
Heavy press equipment experience is a plus.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to walk, stand, reach, crouch and bend.
Frequently required to bend and maneuver in tight spaces.
Frequently lift and or move up to 20 pounds.
Occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to climb ladders to perform various tasks.
Good eye / hand coordination and good motor skills.
Visual (with correction) sufficient to read blueprints and orders and the ability to record the information either manually or in a computer.
Environmental Conditions
Exposure to a noisy work environment.
Exposure to hot and humid conditions.
Exposure to coolants, oils, grease and water.
Ear and Eye protection required at all times in all production areas.
