Kforce has a client in Newark, DE that is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Paralegal to join our legal team, focusing on alternative investments. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and managing legal documents related to investment funds, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and supporting the legal department in various aspects of fund administration. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in financial services or investment fund law.
Key Responsibilities:
Document Review and Analysis:
Review, analyze, and organize legal documents related to alternative investments, including fund formation documents, investment agreements, and compliance materials
Ensure that all documents are accurate, complete, and comply with legal and regulatory requirements
Compliance and Regulatory Support:
Assist in monitoring compliance with securities laws, regulations, and internal policies related to fund operations
Prepare and review regulatory filings and reports as required
Fund Administration:
Support the preparation of fund offering materials, including private placement memoranda (PPMs), subscription agreements, and partnership agreements
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of fund-related documentation and correspondence
Legal Research and Reporting:
Conduct legal research on issues related to alternative investments, including changes in regulations and industry practices
Prepare summaries and reports on legal issues affecting the fund
Client and Stakeholder Communication:
Liaise with external legal advisors, regulators, and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and document exchange
Address inquiries and provide support to fund managers and other internal clients
Administrative Support:
Assist with the organization and management of case files and documentation
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field
Paralegal certification preferred (e.g., NALA, NFPA, or similar)
Minimum of 3-5 years of paralegal experience, with a focus on financial services, investment funds, or alternative investments
Demonstrated experience in legal document review and regulatory compliance
Strong understanding of investment fund structures and regulatory requirements
Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail
Proficiency in legal research tools and document management systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
