Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a IBMi Developer in Jacksonville, FL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with our development team to design, develop, and maintain applications on the IBMi platform


• Create and maintain modular, scalable, and efficient RPG programs using RPG ILE and peripheral programs/APIs


• Work with SQL and Embedded SQL for data retrieval, manipulation, and database maintenance


• Communicate effectively with management, peers, business analysts and SQA team members


• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and optimization


• Contribute to the improvement of software development processes and best practices

REQUIREMENTS:

• Approximately 10 years of experience as an IBMi RPG ILE Developer


• Experience with Profound UI for modernizing IBMi applications


• Experience with modular design and a commitment to producing clean, maintainable code


• Proficiency in RPGILE, RPG Free, CL, and CLLE Programming


• Extensive knowledge of SQL and Embedded SQL


• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced development environment

Preferred qualifications, but not required:

• Experience with Azure DevOps work item tracking for project management preferred


• Familiarity with development tools such as RDI, Visual Studio Code, LMi, and GIT preferred


• Leadership experience is considered an asset

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
