RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Scientist in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership in Data Science: Lead data science projects and initiatives, providing direction and expertise to drive data-driven decision-making within the organization


• Advanced Analytics: Apply advanced analytical techniques, machine learning algorithms, and statistical models to analyze large datasets and solve complex business problems


• Data Modeling: Design, develop, and implement data models that align with business requirements and enhance analytical capabilities


• Exploratory Data Analysis: Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and data mining to identify patterns, trends, and insights that inform strategic decisions


• Predictive Modeling: Develop and deploy predictive models to forecast future trends and behaviors, providing actionable insights for business strategy


• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, gather requirements, and ensure that data-driven solutions meet organizational goals

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: Master's or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field


• Certifications: Relevant certifications in data science, machine learning, or related areas are desirable (e.g., Certified Data Scientist, AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty, Google Professional Data Engineer)


• Experience: 8-12 years of experience in data science, data analytics, or related roles, with a strong track record of applying machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and data manipulation techniques

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
