We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Reporting Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting, and the successful candidate will play a key role in the month-end and year-end closing processes. You will work closely with various departments to provide critical insights that drive financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of Financial Statements:
Prepare comprehensive month-end and year-end financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting to meet internal and external deadlines.
Report Review and Analysis:
Conduct thorough reviews of financial reports for accuracy and compliance.
Analyze variances and provide detailed explanations to management.
Financial Statement Construction:
Build and audit financial statements to ensure they are reflective of the company's financial health.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial data.
Forecasting and Budgeting:
Develop and manage forecasting models to project costs and revenues accurately.
Assist in the annual budgeting process, providing valuable insights based on historical data and trends.
Tax Management:
Oversee and manage tax payments, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Prepare necessary documentation for tax filings and audits.
Internal Audit Management:
Lead internal audit processes, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring adherence to financial controls.
Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits.
Must-Have Qualifications:
Strong Knowledge of Chart of Accounts:
Extensive understanding of accounting principles and the Chart of Accounts to accurately categorize financial transactions.
System Proficiency:
Experience working within various financial systems and software to enhance reporting capabilities.
Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA designation is preferred and highly valued.
