Job Responsibilities
Under limited supervision, the Food Service Operations Director manages and directs the Culinary Institute of Charleston's food service operations, including all related contracts. The director performs various functions, including planning, facilities maintenance, scheduling, purchasing, and managing food service contract relations.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
This position requires a high school diploma and supervisory experience in quantity and quality cooking. Preferred candidate will have a bachelor's degree and food service experience.
The ideal candidate will have at least four (4) years of supervisory experience in quantity and quality cooking, food service operations, and culinary food experience. Successful candidates will know food inventory channels/vendors and culinary systems experience. Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite are essential, emphasizing Excel and Word. Budget oversight and cost controls for purchasing food product experience are also a must. This position works independently to accomplish tasks at hand and communicates regularly with supervisors, chef instructors, and other affiliates.
