This position is responsible for creating the manufacturing plan and finite schedule by determining requirements for final products by date and quantity and implementing and measuring the plan results with the Operations Team. The objectives for the schedule are to meet all demand, and to control inventory levels in a manner that utilizes resources in the optimal manner in accordance with S&OP tactics and customer requirements. Communicate daily and/or weekly with Customer Service Representatives, Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Engineering, and Product and Sales Management.
JOB DUTIES
Develop and maintain a production schedule that ensures production processes operate efficiently by ensuring all the appropriate material requirements are in place and ready to utilize.
Lead weekly scheduling meetings to set firm schedule, review schedule adherence measures, and communicate schedule changes, deviations, and contingency activities. Have a specific focus on finished goods availability (service implications) at each deployment point and material requirements.
Establish scheduling rules for all manufacturing resources based on business objectives and KPI's.
Participate and contribute to Purchasing replenishment reviews. Suggest and manage production schedules to meet supplier constraints.
Ensure that all schedules are based upon demonstrated manufacturing capability, structural constraints, capacity planning, and planned exceptional activity.
Report on reasons for late shipments and recommended corrective actions to improve service performance.
Track daily and monthly schedule adherence, report reasons for schedule breaks, and recommended corrective actions to improve adherence.
Support safety, environmental, and quality initiatives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree or minimum 3 years' experience in materials management, production scheduling, and inventory control
2 years working experience with MRP concepts and integrating planning and scheduling activities within ERP system- preferred CMS, Epicor, or AS400.
2 years' experience in using computerized scheduling tools to visually represent sequential relationships between manufacturing activities.
Advanced Excel and Power Bi
Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
ASCM, CPIM, certification (preferred)
