Client Partner - Telecommunications
Slalom seeks a Seattle based Client Partner to join the team to expand the Slalom brand within an established wireless telecom client. You will work closely with capability leaders and other markets to collectively establish Slalom as the "go-to" consulting partner for transformation projects across business and technology. The Client Partner will engage with colleagues throughout Slalom to introduce thought leadership, create winning proposals, and deliver superlative work, thereby growing Slalom's consulting footprint with existing customers and opening doors to new ones. This leader will also deliver solutions that enhance our transformation story and build on our strong foundation with our current strategic & emerging partners.
What You'll Do
• Bring to life our vision that "we accelerate the growth and innovation-at-scale of technology companies, becoming their trusted consulting partner of choice via our thought leadership and ability to consistently drive business outcomes."
• Client Management:
o Industry Experience: expertise, passion, and thought leadership about the compelling events driving transformation in the wireless industry. Ability to apply industry issues within a client setting and have a thoughtful point of view.
o Client Relationships: Has worked closely with the Sales Exec, Capability Leads and Delivery Leaders to cultivate relationships at the EVP/C-level. Has managed escalations and works ahead at the C-level preventing surprises and mitigating risk when issues arise. Has trained and supported others in key operations functions.
o Portfolio Management: Has collaborated with the Sales Exec to create an account plan at a high complexity, multi-market account.
o Engagement Management: Has identified opportunities to engage SMEs to assist with or augment project delivery. Has helped to drive the thought leadership around improving our transformational customer love scores.
• Account Leadership:
o Business Development: Has driven proposals and partners with Pursuit Team to develop and execute on sales strategy. Has led the negotiation and closing of opportunities.
o Financial Management: Has an understanding of nuances and differences from running operations at multiple accounts. Has experience knowing common approaches to working with procurement organizations and the inherent differences in procurement across client sizes and industries.
• Seattle Leadership & Collaboration:
o Strategy: in close collaboration with local market leaders, align global account and local market strategies.
o Practice Collaboration: work collaboratively with Slalom practices to define service offerings that meet Technology industry needs, bring those offerings to-market, and deliver capabilities through project work.
o Public Relations: promote Slalom in the market by attending / speaking at industry events, panels, etc.
About You
• Professional Experience
o 5 years professional services account/delivery management experience
o 7 years of relevant experience working with the wireless and/or telecom industry, either in-house and/or consulting industry
• Consulting
o Experience managing transformational programs that incorporate people, processes, and technology.
o Relevant experience managing to utilization targets
o Hands-on contract negotiation experience with NDA's, MSA's, & SOW's
o Experience managing the performance of individual consultants, either direct reports and/or as members of project team
o Excellent negotiation, conflict management, problem solving and decision-making skills
o Superlative writing skills & deep experience with creating highly polished content for client executives
o Deep experience with oversight, governance, and quality assurance of all sold/managed engagements
o Maintains awareness of industry best practices and business levers for a particular client list and understands how Slalom Practice Areas interact

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $195,000 to $245,000 for Director and $170,000 to $220,000 for Senior Principal. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
