Position: Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist
Contract Duration: 3-6 months (with potential for permanent hire)
Location: Los Angeles, 90005
Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with experience
Qualifications:
Required: High school diploma or GED
Required: Previous Accounts Payable experience, with an emphasis on complex coding
Preferred: Experience in a non-profit organization
Preferred: Familiarity with MIP Abila accounting software
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment
Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable transactions, including complex coding of invoices and expense reports
Ensure accurate and timely handling of grant-related payments and expense allocations
Maintain and update vendor records and manage communications with vendors
Reconcile AP records with financial systems to ensure accuracy and compliance
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes as needed
Assist in grant and fund accounting, ensuring all transactions align with budgetary and regulatory requirements
