Position: Business and Trademark Counsel



Location: Denver, Colorado



Job Summary:



The Business and Trademark Counsel will provide strategic legal guidance on business transactions, branding, and trademark matters. This role requires a thorough understanding of trademark law, intellectual property management, and business law, with a focus on risk mitigation and regulatory compliance.



Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Business Transactions: Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including licensing, non-disclosure, vendor, and partnership agreements.


• 
  Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with IP laws, regulatory requirements, and industry standards, including risk assessment and implementation of best practices.


• 
  Trademark Management: Handle all aspects of trademark registration, maintenance, and enforcement. Conduct trademark searches, analyze potential risks, and manage global trademark portfolios.


• 
  Brand Protection: Develop and implement brand protection strategies, including monitoring, dispute resolution, and enforcement actions (e.g., cease-and-desist letters).


• 
  Intellectual Property Strategy: Advise on IP-related business strategies, including product development, branding initiatives, and mergers/acquisitions.


• 
  Policy Development: Develop and implement internal policies related to IP protection, usage, and licensing.


• 
  Litigation Management: Oversee and coordinate with external counsel on IP litigation, enforcement actions, and disputes.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.


• Licensed to practice law in Colorado


• 5+ years of experience in trademark and business transactions.


• Small book of business encouraged.


• Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation, drafting, and risk management.


• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $150-225 (DOE) + bonuses
