We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Education Attorney to join a dynamic team. As an Education Attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal counsel and representation to clients on a wide range of education-related issues. This includes but is not limited to matters such as special education law, student rights, school policies and regulations, employment disputes, and constitutional issues in education.
Responsibilities:
Advise clients on legal matters pertaining to education law.
Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and pleadings.
Represent clients in administrative hearings, mediation, and court proceedings.
Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
Stay updated on changes and developments in education law and regulations.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the California state bar and in good standing.
Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on education law preferred.
Strong knowledge of federal and state laws related to education, including IDEA, ADA, Title IX, and FERPA a plus (prior education law experience not necessarily required)
Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for advocating for the rights of students and educators.
