The SMD of Capital and Liquidity Regulatory Reporting will oversee and lead the design, build, and implementation of capital and liquidity reporting ensuring compliance with all capital and liquidity regulatory requirements. This role will involve building the organization's capabilities to submit regulatory reports, including those related to Basel III, Dodd-Frank, enhanced prudential standards, and other capital adequacy and liquidity standards. The SMD of Capital and Liquidity Regulatory Reporting will work closely with internal stakeholders, regulators, and auditors to ensure our reporting capability meets the accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with evolving regulatory frameworks.


Key Responsibilities


• Oversee and lead the design, build, and implementation of capital and liquidity regulatory reports (e.g., FR Y-14s, FR 2052a, etc.)


• Ensure compliance with local, regional, and global regulatory frameworks, including Basel III, Dodd Frank, and enhanced prudential standards.


• Maintain an in-depth understanding of capital adequacy and liquidity reporting requirements, including Tier 1, Tier 2 capital, leverage ratios, risk weighted assets, and stress testing results.


• Collaborate with internal teams such as Treasury, Risk, Finance, and IT to ensure data accuracy and quality in reporting.


• Liaise with regulatory bodies (e.g., Federal Reserve, OCC) and external auditors to address queries, findings, and reporting changes.


• Assist/Provide senior management and board members with regulatory capital and liquidity insights, risks, and reporting updates.


• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of regulatory reporting professionals fostering an environment of continuous learning and development.


• Stay abreast and ensure the team is up to date with regulatory developments and fully equipped to handle complex reporting requirements.


• Continuously assess and improve the reporting process to enhance accuracy, efficiency and control.


• Implement robust governance frameworks, including policies, procedures, and quality assurance measures, to minimize operational risk.


• Lead technology and system enhancements to automate and streamline reporting activities.


Experience


• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Accounting, Economics, or related field, MBA, CPA or CFA Preferred.


• 10-12+ years of experience in regulatory reporting, with a focus on capital and liquidity reporting in a banking or financial services environment.


• Strong knowledge of Basel regulation, capital adequacy standards, liquidity ratios (LCR, NSFR), and regulatory stress testing.


• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate teams.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.


• Experience in interacting with regulatory bodies and handling external audits.


• Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., Axiom, Moody's, OFSAA) and Excel.


• Deep understanding of capital and liquidity regulatory frameworks and ability to adapt to evolving requirements.


• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and influence senior stakeholders.


• Ability to analyze complex data and interpret regulatory guidance into actionable insights.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present finding and recommendation to senior management.


High level of accuracy and thoroughness in reporting and documentation


The estimated base salary range for this position is $230,000 USD to $ 310,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
