We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to join AT&T's Connected Solutions team. We bring connectivity to cars, we deliver visibility to fleet management and create solutions to support millions of connected IoT devices world-wide.
This role is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The Senior Software Delivery Proj/Prog Manager is a primary liaison with the customer/sponsor whose deliverables scale from straightforward projects to complex cross-functional programs involving system/software, hardware and network development across the United States, Canada, Mexico and Most of World (International). This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to acquire resources and coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in support of world-class delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, milestones, deliverables, resources, and timelines
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
Oversee the project budget, driving alignment on allocations, forecasts and actuals
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget
Stakeholder Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring regular communication and updates
Manage relationships with clients, team members, and other stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and alignment with project goals
Facilitate vertical alignment through presentations and artifacts for delivery to various levels of leadership, up to and including senior executives
Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies
Monitor and report on project progress, identifying any issues that may affect outcomes and implementing corrective actions as necessary
Team Leadership:
Lead, motivate, and manage project teams to ensure high performance and successful project delivery
Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment
Quality Assurance:
Establish and maintain project documentation, including project charters, schedules, risk registers, change management, and status reports
Develop working knowledge of the overall solution to facilitate alignment, identify dependencies and interdependencies, and help drive risks and issues to closure
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards
Required Skills and Expertise:
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello).
Familiarity of AT&Ts various Tech Dev and Network delivery teams & methodologies, with experience in related governance processes and applications (e.g. EnterpriseOne)
Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines
Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments
Strong written and oral communication skills
Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
Customer service skills an asset
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field. PMP or Agile certifications highly desired
3-5 years of direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution, preferably in telecommunications and specifically mobility
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
