Position Summary:
The Department of Radiology at New Jersey Medical School at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Newark is recruiting a full-time Breast Imager for its Division of Diagnostic Imaging. We are seeking a candidate at the Assistant Professor level or higher to join our dynamic and evolving division. The successful candidate must be fellowship trained in breast imaging or demonstrate experience in breast imaging, must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree, and be ABR eligible or certified in Diagnostic Radiology. The position will offer a market competitive salary and excellent benefits. Protected non-clinical time, up to 20%, is available for contributions in the educational, research, or service missions. The Department of Radiology has recently upgraded all its breast imaging equipment, including the acquisition of a new state-of-the-art 3T MRI. University Hospital has also purchased a new mobile mammography unit that will provide screening mammograms to our underserved community. Additionally, 2 breast surgeons were recently recruited to help grow the breast oncology program at University Hospital.
The Department of Radiology has 42 clinical and research faculty members, and 38 diagnostic radiology residents who provide patient care for all the major divisions of contemporary imaging. The department is responsible for all aspects of breast imaging at University Hospital, a tertiary care center as well as the Doctor's Office Center, an outpatient facility on campus. University Hospital is a liver transplant center and a Level 1 trauma center comprising of state-of-the-art equipment and employs medical and dental professionals who are specialists in their field.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Clinical responsibilities will include all aspects of breast imaging including screening mammography in 2D and 3D, diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI and the full gamut of image-guided breast procedures.

Minimum Education/Specialty, License/Certification:

Minimum of 1 year of experience with breast imaging
