POSITION SUMMARY
Under direct supervision, performs a variety of construction, maintenance and cleaning duties; performs related work as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assists in installing, constructing, repairing and/or cleaning City buildings, streets and roads, floodwalls, sidewalks, storm sewers, culverts, catch basins, man-holes, drainage ditches, street signs, barricades, guard rails, etc.;
Paints curbs and parking lines;
Mows grass; collects leaves; cuts weeds, trees and tree limbs;
Assists in salting/sanding streets and roads; removes snow;
Assists in pouring concrete and making forms;
Performs general construction and maintenance duties;
Provide safe and efficient operation of vehicles and equipment;
Ensure work area is clean and all equipment and tools are properly stored after use;
Must be able to respond to after-hours emergencies such as weather events, etc.;
Operates Non-CDL required light and medium vehicles and equipment;
Assists in performing public works duties in other Divisions as needed;
Maintains clean and sanitary buildings, vehicles and equipment;
Perform other duties as assigned.
