We are currently seeking a Director of Human Resources to join our team. The Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading, developing, managing, and continuously improving the Human Resource Department. The Director of HR plans, develops, and supervises all human resource functions including recruiting, staffing, benefits administration, employment, on-boarding, compensation, and employee development in alignment with department managers and executives. This person will serve as the EEO Officer and DEI Officer. The Director of HR will also initiate and support employee relations and employee engagement initiatives to foster a work environment and culture that aligns with Wagman’s Core Values and positions Wagman as a premier employer.
This position reports directly to the President of Wagman, Inc.

Qualifications:
Knowledge and understanding of HR Trends, Recruiting, Employment Law, Compensation, Benefits, EEO, FMLA, Employee Relations, Organizational Development and HR Technology is required.
Knowledge of regulations, best practices, and applicable laws regarding human resources.
Adept at handling sensitive employee relations matters.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels in the company; able to relate to people in the office & field.
Ability to multitask and execute effectively on a wide variety of tasks and initiatives simultaneously.

Essential Functions
Company Management Team
Partners with other Directors, Executives, and teams in the company to work on short term and long-term strategic initiatives.
Promote and help move forward the strategic plan of the Company in accordance with our vision, mission, and core values.
HR Leadership
Lead, mentor and develop the team of HR professionals. Provide substantive technical advice and knowledge to support the development of team members. Draft and implement the yearly HR budget and action items.
Interface and communicate with all areas of the Company including jobsites and remote offices.
Serve as EEO Officer - Oversee various compliance efforts including EEO, Affirmative Action, and FMLA. Assure HR related state and federal regulatory compliance are followed as well as compliance under OFCCP regulations.
Member of Ethics Committee
Champion employee relations
Coordinate and lead new employee orientation efforts with HR Team
Be a resource for employees and offer counseling/EAP services.
Help create and administer annual calendar of training programs for all areas of the Company.
Oversee employee review process
Develop and direct all department standards and procedures providing administrative and technical direction on all HR solutions tailored to our business.
Strategically utilize technology and continuous improvement to further Company goals and increase efficiency.
Work with Benefits Committee to design, develop, implement and administer a superior package of diverse, competitive and cost-effective employee benefits.
Recruiting
Lead the HR Team to recruit, hire, develop and cultivate a world class organization. Directly responsible for the attraction, retention, engagement, compensation, and other facets of all team members.
Collaborate with Marketing to advise on externally facing messages across multi-channel platforms to help capture top talent.
Education & Experience
A minimum of 8 years Human Resources experience.
B.S. Degree in Human Resources or similar is required.
Experience working with diverse people required.
SHRM-CP, PHR or similar strongly preferred.
Experience in construction or related industry is strongly preferred.
EEO Officer & DEI Officer experience strongly preferred.
Experience working in the construction industry strongly preferred.
Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
