ECS is seeking talented and driven professionals to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). In this role, you will serve as a scientific and technical advisor to ARPA-H-enabling the agency to manage and provide oversight to advanced R&D efforts; help shape future R&D concepts, programs, and solutions; integrate and advance our nation's healthcare ecosystem processes, policies, and enabling technologies; and enable the agency to expand its healthcare and scientific scope into yet unknown areas. As a Senior Healthcare Strategy Advisor, you will provide support and thought leadership to R&D performer teams, Government Program Managers, and stakeholders across the health innovation ecosystem. This role will be supporting the Resilient Systems Office (RSO).
What you will do:
Serve as Senior Healthcare Strategy Advisor-- providing thought leadership and advice grounded in experience in strategic development and implementation.
Formulate and implement, long-term strategic plans to achieve ARPA-H's overarching goals, ensuring alignment with mission and vision.
Support policy development by advising organizational policies that align with strategic objectives and ensure compliance with current healthcare regulations and standards.
Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to continuously monitor and evaluate performance, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring strategic goals are met.
Support stakeholder engagement activities including risk management, strategic communication, and performance improvement.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to gather input, build consensus, and drive strategic initiatives forward.
Identify, evaluate, and promote the adoption of new technologies, treatments, and processes that enhance outcomes, operational efficiency, and overall organizational performance.
Stay current with scientific advancements:
Actively track and analyze new research findings in this field.
Identify and propose emerging methodologies and technologies that could enhance the program's progress.
Participate in scientific discussions and presentations, contributing your expertise to the program's overall knowledge base.
Collaborate effectively within a diverse team:
Build strong relationships with computational scientists, engineers, and other scientific advisors involved in the program.
Communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and problem-solving exercises to drive the program forward.
Salary Range: $100,000-$180,000

Required Skills:
Masters in Business Administration, Management, or related field.
10 years minimum experience in healthcare settings with healthcare strategy or policy.
Demonstrably strong experience as a strategic advisor in relevant areas, including digital technology and innovation, business growth, process/performance improvement, and stakeholder engagement/communication.
Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, analyze data, and write scientific reports.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong work ethic and a passion for healthcare and scientific discovery.
U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required per contract.
Desired Skills:
Three years or more experience, background, and knowledge of one or more ARPA Programs is highly desirable.
Two years or more experience working with ARPA Program Managers is also highly desirable.
Experience supporting complex R&D projects of a research and development nature.
