ECS is seeking talented and driven professionals to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). In this role, you will serve as a scientific and technical advisor to ARPA-H-enabling the agency to manage and provide oversight to advanced R&D efforts; help shape future R&D concepts, programs, and solutions; integrate and advance our nation's health care ecosystem processes, policies, and enabling technologies; and enable the agency to expand its health care and scientific scope into yet unknown areas. As a "systems engineering and technical assistance" advisor, you will provide support and thought leadership to R&D performer teams, Government Program Managers, and stakeholders across the health innovation ecosystem. We are seeking a driven and results-oriented ARPA-H Intermediate Technical Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in transforming ARPA-H's cutting-edge biomedical program solutions and discoveries into successful commercial products and ventures.
What you will do:
Serve as a Technical Advisor:
Leverage your deep understanding of biology (or a closely related field) to advise on the scientific merit and technical feasibility of proposed research projects.
Analyze complex scientific data and translate it into actionable insights for program managers.
Identify and evaluate breakthrough technologies with the potential to transform health care.
Possess a strong track record of working effectively with government clients, particularly within the research funding landscape.
Prior experience emerging technology is highly desirable.
Collaborate effectively within a diverse team:
Build strong relationships with computational scientists, engineers, and other scientific advisors involved in the program.
Communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and problem-solving exercises to drive the program forward.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $180,000

Required Skills:
Ph.D. in Biology or related field
Minimum of 15 years of experience in biotechnology and emerging technologies.
Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, analyze data, and write scientific reports.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong work ethic and a passion for health care and scientific discovery.
U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required.
Desired Skills:
Experience in enabling biotechnology.
Three years or more experience within a Federal ARPA organization.
Two years or more experience in Federal health care and/or Scientific Consulting.
Experience supporting complex health care and programs of a research and development nature.
