ECS is seeking a qualified Project Manager (Senior) to support transformative science and technology solutions for the Department of Energy.
Job Description:
This position will oversee projects, leading a team on large projects or a significant segment of large and complex projects.
Responsibilities include:
Analyze new and complex project-related problems and create innovative solutions that normally involve the schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management of the project.
Provide applications systems analysis and long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities for necessary support resources.
This position will assist with customer engagements, to include technical discussions about big data, analytics, and exploitation.
Be the main on-site support for and will be required to conduct trainings and demonstrations and provide technical and project management support.
Required Skills:
Master's Degree in business information systems, business administration (MBA), or a related field AND four years of experience managing projects adhering to formalized project management frameworks (PMI PMBOK, Agile/Scrum Master, etc.)
OR
Bachelor's Degree in business information systems, business administration, or a related field AND six years of experience managing projects adhering to formalized project management frameworks (PMI PMBOK, Agile/Scrum Master, etc.)
OR
Ten years of experience managing projects adhering to formalized project management frameworks (PMI PMBOK, Agile/Scrum Master, etc.)
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or DOE Q clearance throughout the life of the contract
Must be a US Citizen
Must currently live in Morgantown, WV or willing to relocate
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desired Skills:
Active Top Secret or DOE Q Clearance with the ability to maintain clearance throughout the life of the contract.
Two or more years experience supporting US Government customers
Expertise with MS Office suite of tools (i.e. MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
Strong technical writing skills
Strong ability to construct creative and professional presentations.
Strong project management skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to drive projects and provide day-to-day direction to team members
Experience transitioning projects/services into on-going operational modes
Ability to positively influence peer organization and key stakeholders
