Job Description:
ECS is seeking an experienced Mid-Level Cloud Engineer to work as a member of a team managing and maintaining multiple coalition Mission Partner network enclaves in support of the DoD community. The Cloud Engineer will work as part of a team to design, implement, and maintain enclaves' virtual infrastructure in both AWS and Azure Cloud. The Cloud Engineer position is a demanding, high-energy role that requires innovative solutions to network, hardware, and software problems. The ideal candidate has exceptional problem-solving skills and a breadth of expertise in cloud networking concepts, modern CI/CD pipeline, platform automation, and infrastructure development supporting these technologies.
The candidate will work in a hybrid onsite/remote capacity in ECS office located in Fairfax VA. The candidate may also be required to travel to Springfield, VA and/or Adelphi, MD for weekly customer site support, as well as CONUS and OCONUS sites, as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
Integrate with, and support, a team of subject matter experts in a highly agile environment, to implement best-in-class, multi-cloud solutions.
Leverage a variety of automation, instance, and/or container, orchestration, security, and native/non-native cloud services for large DoD program(s).
Architect, design, implement, and maintain cloud solutions and new capabilities in AWS/Azure.
Assist in partner network integration, testing, and monitoring.

Required Skills:
U.S. Citizenship required per contract.
Active Top Secret security clearance, with SCI eligibility.
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) discipline, and at least 6-8 years of related professional experience.
DoD 8570 Compliant, minimum IAT Level II.
4+ years of experience designing, engineering, and deploying infrastructure systems and services within cloud environments.
4 years of experience and proficiency working with Amazon Web Services cloud services and technologies including EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, VPC, and IAM.
Proficiency in developing, engineering, and deploying Docker and Kubernetes-based containerized solutions.
Proficiency in supporting Windows and Linux operating systems.
Proficiency with Cloud networking and troubleshooting Cloud networking environments (IP networking, VPNs, DNS, and load balancing).
A solid understanding of firewalls, NAT, SSL/TLS, etc.
Experience in one or more automation languages (PowerShell, ARM/Bicep Templates, BASH, Python).
Experience with STIGing Windows and Linux endpoints and using the STIG Viewer for reporting.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
Political savvy to confront difficult problems in a positive and creative way.
Demonstrated ability to expertly balance multiple, competing priorities and execute accordingly.
Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS throughout the duration of the effort.
Desired Skills:
Candidates given preference with:
Active TS/SCI security clearance.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or similar STEM discipline.
Experience with DevSecOps frameworks.
Experience using big data and cloud tools and technologies.
Experience working with DoD computer network organizations and/or performers.
CompTIA Security+ and/or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred.
