Job Description:
ECS is seeking a highly qualified Senior GPS Engineer with an active Secret Clearance to work on our project at Robins Air Force Base, GA. The selected candidate will be able to communicate effectively (written/verbal), possess strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and be innovative in a fast-paced environment. Must hold and maintain a valid Secret Security Clearance.
The candidate will be involved with product sustainment, product development, lab support, and engineering services in support of the Operational Flight Program (OFP), Test Program Set (TPS) development and support, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance software and Mission Support (MS) business lines. Candidate will assist in evaluating current systems, planning of large-scale system projects, purchasing, installing and support of network communications, including LAN/WAN systems.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will devise and/or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, analyze test results, debug, participate with testing process such as test review/validation and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
Develops plans, coordinates work teams and provides technical support to project team members.
Supports engineering function in developing, releasing, and maintaining of software applications according to the project needs.
Supports all phases of hardware lifecycle management which include evaluating, planning, purchase, deployment, maintenance, recycling of hardware and documentation.
Works with preplanning and organizational process teams, as required for the acquisition of new/replacement IT systems.
Reviews and analyzes specifications related to software development and hardware integration.
Develops design documentation.
Supports the management team with effective team communication, proactive problem solving, information distribution.
Supports multiple projects of varying sizes and technical complexity.
Evaluates and recommends hardware and software for system enhancements, upgrades, and future projects.
Required Skills:
Active DoD Secret Clearance
US Citizenship required per contract.
BS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering from an ABET accredited school.
Minimum 15 years' experience with at least one of the following: Precision Navigation and Timing (PNT) - EGI, R-EGI, Kalman Filter Processing
Minimum 8 years software development experience in one or more of the following areas: Ada, Java, ASP.net, C#, C++, Python, and Javascript
Experience with the 2 or more of the following concepts: DevSecOps Continous Integration / Continous Delivery Pipelines, Automation (Test, Cyber, Deployment), Agile Software Development, Microservice Architecture, Cloud Based Design/Development, Object Oriented Programming, Embedded Systems Architecture.
Desired Skills:
5+ Years' experience working on DoD programs is highly desired.
Interest in new technologies and the ability to adopt to those new technologies.
Possess and applies expert knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of hardware Integration.
Experience with at least one of the following: Electronic Warfare, Radar, Sensors and Fusion, Communications, Navigation, Identification, Tactical Data Links Networks, Information Assurance, Avionics OFPs, Support Equipment, or Simulation.
