Purpose of Job:
Job Duties:
Operates filler machinery at rated speeds with minimum downtime to deliver needed quantities of specified product to packaging.
Interfaces with and operates Allen Bradley PLC Controllers for Volumetric fillers.
Confers with lab technician, mechanics and monitor pressure settings to keep breakage to a minimum.
Converses with mechanics to correct mechanical/electrical malfunctions with the filler to minimize downtime.
Reviews production schedules to coordinate delivery of bottles, can bodies, closures, can lids and product to the filler for production.
Inspects raw materials for damage, correct flavors and colors.
Ensures full goods do not get mixed on flavor changeovers.
Performs normal shutdown of equipment and handles emergency shutdowns of high-speed fillers as required.
Ensures product quality by performing clinistix testing on non-sugar products and sensory testing on all products produced.
Inputs coding dates and verifies that all products are being coded.
Gathers all counter information and downtime data to enter into the OEE system or the production reports.
Performs changeover and sets up filler when going from Aquafina to CSD production.
Monitors oPRP of ozone during Aquafina production as required by FSSC 22000 to ensure product stays within the specification of .2 to .4 ppm.
Maintains clean work area and equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED and three (3) years industrial maintenance experience required.
One (1) year PLC troubleshooting experience required.
Maintenance troubleshooting experience required.
Knowledge of Fabricating, Electrical, Pneumatics, Welding and Rigging required.
Must be able to troubleshoot equipment problems.
Fluent Troubleshooting Techniques required.
Good Machine Shop skills required. Good oral and written communication skills required.
Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
High school diploma or GED required.
Two (2) years of previous manufacturing experience required.
Six (6) months of previous filler operations and Allen Bradley PLC controller experience required.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
Physical Requirements:
Constantly (67%-100%) required to stand.
Frequently (34 – 66%) required to walk and lift up to 35 pounds.
Occasionally (0 – 33%) required to sit and climb.
