Essential Functions
Provides protection for individuals and property from injury and/or criminal acts.
Prevents unauthorized entry and respond to emergency situations.
Assists in providing security at special events and for executives if needed.
Facilitate VIP visits and special events at corporate headquarters.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Experience Two (2) years college/equivalent and two (2) years armed experience in law enforcement/military police/security, or four (4) years military experience in Military Police or Infantry/Combat Arms role, orBachelors degree in Criminal Justice.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Ability to successfully complete required training programs and maintain a special deputy commission.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Job Conditions
Must maintain a valid drivers license to operate company vehicle. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be bond-able and qualify for a commission as a special deputy with the Shelby County Sheriffs department. If required to carry a firearm as part of job duties, subject to random drug testing.
