University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) is dedicated to soliciting the private funding necessary to support the strategic goals of the University in teaching, learning, and research. The personnel of UDAR work university-wide as well as within individual schools and colleges of the University to discover, motivate, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni, parents, faculty, and friends for immediate, long-range, and future financial support, through gifts and pledges to the University, for critical operations such as student aid, faculty support, academic and research program development, and facilities and infrastructure. UDAR's endeavors raise funds for immediate University use and also for the University's endowment.
Responsible for raising funds in support of NYU Arts & Science. Serve as a key member of the Arts & Science Development team tasked with the development and implementation of a comprehensive engagement and solicitation strategy for alumni, parents, and friends who are capable of making leadership-level annual funds and major gifts to NYU Arts & Science. Partner with alumni relations and development staff to research, recruit, and solicit high net worth families while contributing to enhanced engagement of high capacity prospects and donors. Manage a portfolio of annual and major gift Arts & Science prospects. Conduct a minimum of 50 engagements and/or meetings in person or virtually for the purpose of qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, with progressively ambitious fundraising goals.

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Required Experience:
5+ years relevant experience in fundraising, volunteer management, marketing, communications, or a combination of experience and education
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills; strong analytical skills
Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software
Sensitivity to and ability to maintain confidentiality of information and materials
This position may involve travel occasionally as University policy allows and is reasonably justified towards building relationships and developing philanthropy
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Comfortable creating team-supportive structures such as prospect list and portfolio management, data accuracy, volunteer management systems, and serve as a resource of support and guidance to fundraisers working with A&S prospects
Knowledge of industry-wide best practices for philanthropy and donor engagement
The ability to work independently, manage multiple projects effectively and maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality in a complex team-oriented, environment
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $105,000.00 to USD $125,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
