Job Description
The Preventative Maintenance Electrician will be reporting to the Group Leader of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing and be responsible for performing inspections and preventative maintenance on AC electrical systems and critical infrastructure.
Use various types of meters and test equipment proficiently to allow for sound decision-making in the troubleshooting process. Able to communicate information to maintenance supervision and engineering to assist in analyzing equipment or for the purpose of making equipment modifications.
Work with maintenance supervisor to insure a sufficient level of back up spares for all electronic equipment. Analyze and review wiring diagrams, blueprints and schematics. Checks to ensure electrical drawings are up-to-date.
Install wire and conduit for newly installed and existing equipment.
Maintain clean and organized work areas, and cleanup work areas as part of completing assigned tasks.
Accurately and completely prepare and maintain maintenance records and other paperwork.
Follow all safety regulations and policies as mandated by the company.
Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), suggest revisions as needed.
Prepare and document work plans, job hazard analysis, job safety analysis, code required forms, checklists, LOTO, and internal procedural documents as required.
Inspect circuit breakers and other electrical components.
Advise immediate direct report of job progress and material/labor requirements and communicate tasks performed.
Proactively identify any unsafe conditions, hazards, or Code violations, and communicate them effectively with potential resolutions.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
5 years of electrical experience is preferred, specifically dealing with 12V to 480V with electrical troubleshooting and installation experience.
Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
Additional Information
The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm, with some on on-call hours.
