Your Role:
MilliporeSigma in Carlsbad, CA is hiring a Logistics Operator. The Logistics Operator 1 is responsible for the transfer, storage, and shipment of GMP samples, intermediates, and final product. This position will also assist in inventory counts and activities for shipping or destruction of materials as part of inventory maintenance.
Responsibilities:
Follow established site and departmental policies, procedures, and objectives
Transport of GMP materials to the designated manufacturing, quality, or storage facilities
Ship GMP products to clients and testing facilities
Generation of air bills and assembly of shipping documentation package
Become IATA certified/maintain IATA certification and train in other shipping regulations
Support inventory management consisting of reconciling and maintaining of sample, intermediates, and final product inventory through cycle counts
Comply with safety guidelines, especially with handling of biohazardous and temperature sensitive materials
Order materials as directed by the department manager
Maintain the layout and accuracy of the inventory management system
This role may include off-shifts, weekends and additional hours (OT)
Physical attributes:
Lifting and manipulating heavy objects (50 lbs)
Performing moderate physical activity
Working in a cold environment on occasion
Handling of cold chain materials
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years of warehouse, logistics, or other related experience
1+ years of working with desktop computers with basic knowledge in software applications and database routines
1+ years GMP experience
Ability to complete tasks with attention to detail
Electronic Management Systems
Hazardous material disposal experience
Knowledge of postal or commercial shipping methods and procedures (FedEx, etc.)
Pay Range for this position - $33,400 - $77,800
