A DAY IN THE LIFE
The Financial Project Administrator for Montrose's Laboratory Services business (Enthalpy Analytical) will work within a national team of Operations and Finance professionals and interact regularly with other departments in the organization. Enthalpy Analytical is a national network of accredited laboratories and your single source for comprehensive environmental laboratory testing services. Our team of scientists, industry specialists, project managers, and analysts have decades of experience in supporting the testing needs of the public sector, private industry, and governmental agencies. The Laboratory Services business line is a high growth revenue segment of Montrose Environmental Group, with offices across the U.S.
As a Financial Project Administrator, you will join our finance team, reporting to our Operations Controller. The ideal candidate will possess a high attention to detail, be organized and able to meet monthly deadlines with a team-oriented focus.
As a key member of the laboratory team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
Working with Project Managers, provide support creating invoicing packages and customer reports for billing.
Assist entering invoices into client portals.
Assist in the preparation of key metric reporting and analysis relating to projects and billing.
Assist procurement and accounts payable teams ensuring packing documents are uploaded timely.
Provide customer account statements, confirm invoice receipt, secure payment date and maintain collection notes in collections and accounting systems. (e.g. Workday, High Radius.
Prepare credit memos with supporting documentation.
Recommend actions to resolve discrepancies. Maintain and update financial records in project management and accounting systems.
Ensure compliance with financial policies, and accounting standards. Provide support for special financial projects, audits, and process improvements as required.
YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

Associates' Degree in Accounting or related discipline from an accredited university or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Experience in Accounts Receivable or supporting a Finance or Project Management team would be an asset
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Knowledge of financial software systems is a plus -Workday
Strong communication skills with a service-oriented outlook
Able to work independently, managing multiple responsibilities (i.e. self-starter, self-motivated)
Ability to work calmly and effectively to organize work, set priorities, meet critical deadlines
