EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages engineering and technician staff to complete projects.
Coordinates structural design scope in-house and with other consultants.
Develops, monitors, and manages project work plans, schedules, and design budgets.
Serves as the primary point-of-contact with clients and contractors for their projects throughout design and construction.
Develops and implements project specific QA/QC plans.
Acts as a mentor and resource for less-experienced staff and assists with their career development.
Attends project meetings and represents Martin/Martin, Inc. during design and construction.
Takes an active role in developing and maintaining client relationships.
Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum
9 years progressive engineering experience (MSCE/MSAE counts as 1 year. Passing the 16-hour SE exam also counts as 1 year)
Demonstrates leadership abilities beneficial to the company's future
Experience managing advanced industries projects (Aerospace, Pharmaceutical, Semi-Conductor, Data Center, Manufacturing)
Revit Knowledge
Experience working to a schedule and budget
Able to learn owners' processes and coordinate process needs
Strong coordination and communication skills with other disciplines
Good understanding of Architectural, MEP, and Civil systems and how they impact our work
Has a PE license in the State of Colorado or the ability to obtain one within three months
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Structural engineering from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum
Has designed numerous advanced-industries projects and followed them through from start of design to end of construction
Demonstrates effective internal and external communication skills
Demonstrates advanced project management skills
Experience managing large projects and budgets
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Ability to handle confidential information
Ability to engage with owners regarding delays and feasibility issues with designs among other potential project issues
