Objective
The Outbound Sales Representative – Small Business is a results-driven sales position responsible for performing a broad variety of Business Member focused sales and service-related activities that helps enrich the financial lives of our member.
This high-contact, high activity sales position requires the ability to deal effectively with Business Members and other KEMBA associates for all inbound/outbound Business Member activity that results from calls, e-mail, internet activity as well as referrals from the branch, virtual branch and other KEMBA associates. In addition to inbound and outbound activity, this position will manage a business portfolio with a focus on deepening relationships that result in business members achieving their overall financial goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
Professionally services Business Member activity associated with loan and deposit services via outbound dialing/sales efforts:
Executes prospecting and lead generation activity to identify and pursue opportunities through outbound cold calling, and referrals with limited out of office activities
Participates in other cold calling activities as assigned
Conducts daily contacts and weekly pre-set appointments
Provides accurate information for all products and services, as well as the status of all Member accounts
Cross-sells alternative or additional services where they best fit the Member's needs
Develops and manages outbound dialing lists and strategy to effectively contact Membership
Appropriately onboards and builds additional product relationships with members
Generates business checking accounts for new and existing Members
Assumes primary ownership over all Member issues by accurately documenting, researching, and resolving or escalating Member issues associated with any product or service
Accurately documents all requests for new membership, loans, deposit accounts and ancillary services
Effectively organizes and prioritizes Member requests and concerns, providing outstanding member experience
Provides basic financial services advice to Members that promotes their and their business's financial well-being
Performs business loan and new business deposit account documentation and processing that will ensure the proper creation and maintenance of Member accounts
Acts as liaison with back-office partners as needed to ensure timely and quality Member sales and service
Identifies and refers additional opportunities to sales partner experts in Wealth, Mortgage and Branch as well as senior commercial services associates when opportunities are outside of one's lending authority
Meets or exceeds all sales, service and productivity goals established for this position
Registers with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) and maintains and renews the registration in addition to completing related compliance training as directed by KEMBA
Maintains an up-to-date status of all sales behaviors, pipelines and results with routine reporting to management
Performs all duties in a manner that is fully compliant with applicable industry regulations as well as KEMBA policy and procedures
Develops an understanding of Credit Union history, philosophy, organization, policies, and operational procedures
On a self-direct basis, continues to improve individual level of competency through training and certification on established educational programs
Relates to others beyond giving and receiving instructions:

Performs work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading, or speaking with others
Responds appropriately to feedback from supervisor

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
Prior small business, phone or platform sales experience preferably in a banking environment
Prior experience in a customer service role
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Must value a high degree of accuracy and speed
