Position Title: IT Project Management Specialist
Location: Remote
Anticipated Start Date: ASAP
Expected Duration: 12+ months of contract to hire
Pay Range: $40.86/hr on W2
Primary Purpose
To develop and manage project assignments through completion; to communicate results; to make recommendations to management; and to ensure process compliance and oversight.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Identify required resources and research project data, procedures, and history to ensure a thorough understanding of project direction.
Generate and analyze statistical data reports to inform project decisions.
Develop, prepare, and manage project plans through completion, ensuring milestones are met.
Communicate activity progress to all involved parties effectively.
Resolve issues that arise involving stakeholders, escalating when appropriate.
Transition programs to management personnel upon completion.
Participate in oral presentations to communicate project outcomes and recommendations.
Develop and provide training as needed to ensure team readiness and understanding.
Ensure all required release materials are completed accurately and on time.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Administer company personnel policies across all areas, adhering to company staffing standards and training recommendations.
Interview, hire, and establish colleague performance development plans; conduct performance discussions to facilitate growth and accountability.
Provide support, guidance, leadership, and motivation to promote maximum performance among team members.
Additional Functions and Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Support the organization's quality program(s) to ensure compliance and excellence.
Travel as required to support project needs.
Education & Licensing
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Statistics, or Quantitative Analysis from an accredited college or university preferred.
Courses in Computer Sciences preferred.
Experience
Six (6) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Two (2) years of general business experience with an emphasis on data analysis or planning.
Skills & Knowledge
Knowledge of related field procedures, insurance-related procedures, and/or managed care systems and operations.
Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
Proficient in data analysis, with advanced Excel skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products and general PC literacy.
Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to meet or exceed performance competencies consistently.
