What we need:



Mohawk is looking for a Dyeing QC Technician in the Dalton, Ga area. In this role, you will perform repeat quality checks on all carpet dye headers from all tufting machines throughout the shift.



What you'll do:

• Pick up carpet dye headers from Tufting Machine
• Dye the carpet dye headers
• Inspect the carpet dye headers
• Record carpet dye headers on iPad whether it's good or bad
• Check thread-up on the carpet dye headers
• Report problems to supervisors when issues arise, immediately go-to the Tufting Machine and repair / correct as necessary
• Give breaks to Quality Assurance (opposite breaks)
• Cross-train in all duties of Quality Assurance
• Fill in as Quality Assurance when needed
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follow all established standard operating procedures
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management

What you have:

• High school graduate or GED equivalency preferred.
• Prior experience in operating tufting machine equipment required, and/or equivalent combination of on the job training and work experience.
• Reads and writes in standard English and proficient performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
• May be required to use PC and other department specific database systems.

• Ability to work in a hot and wet environment
• Maintain an orderly work environment
• Must be able to pass a color blind test and or a color hue test for carpet colors and defects
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
