What you'll do:
- Responsible for the assembly, installation, testing, and maintenance of new or existing equipment, machinery, components, or applications
- Provides quality-control inspections to ensure proper mechanical processes
- Records test data and ensure that mechanical failures are properly documented
- May prepare technical drawing using CAD equipment or other software systems in the design or modification of mechanical applications
- Performs preventative maintenance schedules, diagnosing and fixing faults in equipment and machinery as assigned
- Maintains engines and gear components, conveyor or packing equipment as well as robotic machinery as directed
- Designs, develops, tests, and modifies related electric components, equipment, products, and services, applying electrical theory and related knowledge
- Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
- Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies
- Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
- Perform other tasks assigned by management
What you have:
- Certification/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from accredited school which would include an Associate Degree or its equivalency
- Lift Truck Certification preferred
- Successful completion of all required on the job training
- Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training
- May be required to use department specific database systems such as: CAD, Microsoft Suite
- Demonstrated proficiency in the repair or operation of mechanical equipment
- Technical certification preferred, in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and experience to perform the essential functions of the job
- One or more years recent experience in repairing, maintaining, and installing mechanical machinery, systems, or application
- In-depth knowledge of applicable building electrical, plumbing, HVAC system, boilers, generators, etc. and proficient using all applicable tools and equipment.
