Position Summary
The University of Miami, Desai Sethi Urology Institute at the Miller School of Medicine invites applications for a Biostatistician, open rank commensurate with experience, open track faculty member anticipated to begin in Spring 2023.
You will be a full-time biostatistician in the Institute. In this role, you will be expected to lead the analytic strategy of projects and participate in and provide statistical support for the academic/ research activities of the Institute including, but not limited to:
Assist members of the Institute and collaborators from Urology and uropathology in the statistical analysis of data collected/databases developed by either performing the pertinent analysis and/or recommending about the best statistical approach for analyzing the data.
Provide statistical advice for the construction of clinical trials and other clinical research studies within the Institute.
Develop and assist in the development of grants for scientific studies and provide support for any sample size or statistical analysis
Devote time to personal research which contributes to the research agenda of the Institute in particular and to the biostatistics and data science fields in general
Serve on committees to provide statistical support and guide research
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. degree with specific graduate training in biostatistics, bioinformatics, data science, or related discipline.
Evidence of high-impact publications.
Effective oral and written communications.
Demonstrated ability to lead innovative research projects to successful conclusions.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with medical issues in Urology is a plus.
Experience with supervising an analytic team in a collaborative environment.
