Department Summary


The Office of Global Engagement supports the university's campus internationalization initiatives through global partnerships and international agreements, hosting international visiting delegations, faculty and student global engagement, and Fulbright and other global opportunities.



Position Overview


The Assistant Director of Global Engagement is responsible for Fulbright and global fellowship advising for students, managing and marketing programs and events, data analysis and reporting on global engagement, and other campus internationalization initiatives.



Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant work experience, or any equivalent combination of education & experience.

  • Ability to develop, interpret, and evaluate policies and procedures.

  • Skill in identifying complex problems and reviewing information to develop options and implement solutions.

  • Demonstrated problem solving, time management, and process improvement skills.

  • Strong computer skills, including data management and analysis.

  • Ability to work effectively with administrators, faculty, and staff across campus.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Master's degree

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience using Excel, Tableau, EIS, Concur, and other relevant software.

  • Strong attention to detail.

Job Duties:



  • Assists in managing the Office of Global Engagement; programs and events including budgets, timelines, and deliverables; student advising components for Fulbright/global fellowships and provides feedback on applications/essays; and over sees operations in the Director's absence and represents the Director at meetings.

  • Leads marketing and communications for the Office of Global Engagement including developing content and managing marketing campaigns; liaises with appropriate internal and external stakeholders for marketing and communications; assists in managing internal and external global opportunities; leads and coordinates assigned projects and supports the development of new initiatives.

  • Works closely with the Director to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders about UNT's global partnerships and international initiatives; communicates with faculty and students about various global programs and international initiatives; develops and maintains an alumni network of UNT participants in Fulbright/global fellowships.

  • Works closely with the Director to maintain the accuracy and integrity of data; serves as the records manager for international agreements and the Office of Global Engagement; collects, analyzes, and manages data to develop dashboards, reports, assessments, and other documents; ensures operational compliance with university, state, and/or federal guidelines and requirements.

  • Participates in broad strategic planning for the Office of Global Engagement and develops and updates SOPs; stays informed on best practices and regulatory information related to international education programming and services; liaises with colleagues to proactively engage in continuing education and professional development.

  • May perform additional duties as assigned based on the needs of the Office of Global Engagement.

Monday-Friday, 8-5, occasional time outside of normal business hours may be required
