Job Summary:
This position plans, coordinates, implements and evaluates the assigned program in collaboration with leadership and associated teams. This position will coordinate quality improvement initiatives, assist with planning, development, and implementation of program goals and operations across the ambulatory and acute care department platforms. This position will also perform such other duties as reasonably requested or otherwise necessary to properly assist in the operations of the Wound and Ostomy Integrated program. The RN Program Coordinator job description has incorporated essential functions, which are adapted from the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010).
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
A minimum of two years of program relevant nursing experience is required.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
Ability to utilize and navigate Electronic Health Records and other technology as appropriate to the role within the department and organization. Ability to multitask, be detailed-oriented within an often stressful environment and be able to perform the nursing process in a fast-paced and complex work environment.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA). Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire. Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON) through the Wound Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB) is required.
