Position Overview:
The Senior Solutions Delivery and Integrations Engineer collaborates with stakeholders across the business to evaluate project requests, enhancements, and integrations. They will design, develop, and implement approved solutions in accordance with Motiva Business Advisory Council directives. This role plays a vital role within the Corporate IT Systems of Motiva IT Department. They work closely with Solution Architects, Business stakeholders, and the Project Management office. This role requires proactive forward-thinking to identify process enhancements, product upgrades, solution refinements, integrations, and corrective actions following audit findings, all aimed at improving operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness at Motiva. Exceptional interpersonal skills are crucial, along with a dedication to consistently delivering incremental business value.
Responsibilities:
Assist in planning of road map, managing the scope, development of custom objects and execution of Projects, Enhancements and Migrations within time and budget.
Analyze the scope of delivery against timelines and capacity of development resources. Meet with business stakeholders to understand and document priorities of deployment. Make solution recommendations on projects scope in-order to manage the risk of delivery.
Meet periodically with Development resources to track the progress of custom developments. Participate in team meetings to report the status of development objects. Proactively raise concerns on technical objects with risk of missing delivery dates.
Propose contingency plans for delays within deployment and propose alternative approaches to minimize time lost and bring delivery back to schedule.
Conduct periodic reviews of the system changes by working with Solution Architects, Infrastructure, application teams and develop presentations as needed to present details of changes with potential impacts to stability.
Participate in Change Control meetings to evaluate the change requests and work with Enterprise Architecture team and PMO to evaluate costs and present the changes for approval to BAC
Lead the delivery of major IT projects
Evaluate comprehensively change requests for cost, complexity, business need and impact to scope and make optimal recommendations to Corporate IT Systems team for planning and implementing the change.
Conduct periodic review of functional specs, test scripts and business signoffs to ensure development objects are in-line with the business requirements.
Assist Corporate IT systems in developing SAP roadmap and developing strategic initiatives to use SAP for supporting business objectives.
Build and enforce design and coding standards, policies and procedures to ensure quality delivery of technology assets and solutions to serve Motiva's business needs. Ensure documentation is well maintained. Ensure quality of coded components by performing code reviews.
Build and manage standard processes to ensure compliance to IT controls
Participate in audit requirements, recommend remediation, and ensure effective execution of controls
Experience and Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Minimum 6 years of experience in the oil and gas or energy sector.
Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, .Net development.
Functional experience in SAP FICO, MM, PM - SAP ECC.
Track record of successfully leading and delivering major IT projects.
Strong analytical skills for business process improvement.
Action-oriented with a focus on results delivery.
Ability to implement best practices and drive improvements.
Self-reliant with a demonstrated ability to quickly add value.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Capacity to manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholders.
Thorough knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
Strong integration skills for interface development.
Experience with SAP integrations, data management, and data quality processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in the oil and gas or energy sector.
Functional experience in S4/HANA
Proficient knowledge supporting the Marketing, Sales, Pricing, Trading, Risk, and Financial areas
