Responsibilities

What you'll be challenged to do:

Transystems has an immediate need for a Land Develpment CAD Technician in its Clearwater Office. In this position, the candidate will work directly with engineers, surveyors and other technicians to assist in the development of site construction plans and related construction documents for a variety of projects in the private, state, municipal and federal sectors. This is not a remote work position.

 

General Responsibilities: 


  • Responsible for the production of Civil related plans and drawings

  • Responsible for accurate calculations in support development plan related drawings.

  • Perform research of zoning, legal and land record data

  • Conform in all respects with applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.

  • Must be available to travel and work overtime occasionally.

     

Qualifications

What you bring to our firm:


  • Minimum of 5 years’ recent experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

  • Experience researching and interpreting land development codes.

  • Works well within a team environment

  • Works well under tight deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Must be able to work independently or in a team setting

  • Ability to adapt to changing software/hardware platforms

  • Ability to adapt to changing software/hardware platforms

Machines, Tools and Equipment:


  • Operate standard office equipment (i.e., personal computer, copy machine, etc.)

Physical/Mental Demands:


  • Talk, hear, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach

  • Must be able to communicate effectively (Zoom, Teams, Phone, etc) and understand plans and directions given in the English language

  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at the same time

Working Conditions:


  • Work in indoor environment 95% of the time

  • Moderate noise level

  • Site visits / map checks
