Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Audit Manager (SAM) on our Corporate Risk Compliance Audit Team. This SAM will be responsible for the oversight audit coverage of the Corporate Risk organization, focused on monitoring and validation of non-regulatory issues for Compliance Risk; Operational Risk; Strategic Enterprise Risk Management (SERM); Market and Counterparty Risk; and Credit Risk.
In this role, you will:
Manage a team of audit staff responsible for validating issues, including design validation of corrective actions
Be responsible for resource management and assisting broader team in overall audit plan completion
Assess associated risks and controls and complete validations to verify issue root causes are adequately and sustainably addressed
Ensure issue validations are risk-based, and executed according to Internal Audit policies and guidance
Plan and organize work across a portfolio of issues and corrective actions, and performing validation work in accordance with departmental deadlines
Build and maintain a proficient team of auditors
Work with peer audit teams to collaborate issue validation approaches and progress.
Provide timely feedback, coaching and monitoring of development plans
Develop and maintain excellent business relationships with leadership and other stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Audit
Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications:
6+ years of Audit, Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
3+ years of management experience
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with the issues management policy & Internal Audit policies and methodology.
Experience executing validation of corrective actions as a result of regulator, audit, and business identified issues.
Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Certification in one or more of the following: CPA, CAMS, CRCM, CIA, CISA or Commissioned Bank Examiner designation
A BS/BA degree or higher
Experience at a financial institution or accounting firm
Understanding of financial regulatory environment
Solid knowledge and understanding of audit or risk methodologies and supporting tools.

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates. $144,400.00 - $300,000.00 Benefits
