About this role:

The Corporate & Investment Banking Cross-Platform Senior Content Strategy Leader will be responsible for setting the overall business and marketing thought leadership strategic goals and identifying marketing/sales opportunities that work across businesses such as Commercial Banking, Wealth & Investment Banking and Wells Fargo Enterprise. This role will work closely with senior executive leaders across Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Institutional Investing, Global Treasury Management, Diverse Segments, Sustainable Finance, and International Regions to develop a multi-year content strategy and program that balances line of business and channel needs with a client-centric focus to deliver on business objectives.

The Senior Content Strategy leader will also lead and implement content strategy programs that span across business segments, government policies, industries, economics, talent management, research and insights, and public affairs (e.g., Environmental Sustainability and Governance, Diversity and Inclusion, Community outreach), to ensure the proper strategic content marketing alignment and perspective.

This leader will direct content strategy across multiple platforms, channels, and formats to deliver relevant content that enhances the Corporate & Investment Banking brand, deepens client engagement, and builds awareness and enhance industry credibility. This leader will deliver thought leadership with the goal to optimize Corporate & Investment Banking content specific to print, digital, television/video, podcasts, social media, whitepapers, newsletters, webinars and website, events, to enhance Wells Fargo's reputation as a premier global financial services leader.

The leader will need to be able to cultivate and nurture relationships internally and externally while influencing groups at all levels and be central to achieving the mission of the strategic marketing group. The leader will work with dedicated resources in Centers of Excellence across Wells Fargo to operationalize, manage external content vendors to drive impact, define new innovative vendors to drive automation and manage marketing sciences to deliver strong return on investment objectives. Key centers of excellence include Digital & Social Capabilities, Digital Marketing Execution, In-house Agency, Brand Management, Technology, and Insights & Analytics. This leader will be responsible for leading quarterly competitive analysis and content strategy trends for all CIB businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 7 + years' experience leading, developing and implementing B2B marketing content/thought leadership strategies for c-suite, investment banking audiences.
  • 5+ years' experience writing and implementing brand-building thought leadership programs for executives on all owned and select third party channels and media platforms.
  • Strong ability to collaborate and influence across lines of business at multiple levels; negotiating with senior business executives to create and manage strong relationships.
  • Acts as a champion for diversity and inclusion as it relates to client testimonials, channel and media planning, cross enterprise collaboration, and communications.
  • Partners with cross-functional management to obtain resources, influence business outcomes, and ensure alignment with Wells Fargo's strategy/policies and business line objectives.
  • Ability to provide strategic design thought leadership and counsel to partners and ability to connect "dots" across various and sometimes competing/ambiguous challenges.

  • Tracks, analyzes, and reports on return on investment for all programs.
  • Evaluates ongoing market and competitive activity and provide reporting to help drive decisions and improve program outcomes.
  • Seeks outside industry knowledge and trends to help influence programs and business results.
  • Works closely with Centers of Excellence to ensure quality assurance and flawless execution.
  • Facilitates business and stakeholder routines to gain objective alignments.

  • Identify and harness common functions across the enterprise and line of business marketing teams to gain efficiencies and cost-savings; ability to align marketing resources with business-specific distribution teams to drive exceptional business results and client outcomes.

Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Marketing, Digital Marketing, Digital Platforms (i.e. Mobile or Social Media) experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience leading Corporate & Investment Banking content strategy/thought leadership engagement programs (for an Agency or Corporation).
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills: proven client service expertise required to create, maintain, and enhance strong relationships across the enterprise.
  • Proven social media/digital program management experience working with compressed and complex production schedules.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail and time management.
  • Flexibility and adaptability; able to problem-solve and handle pressure well.
  • Works well in collaborative and inclusive environment.
  • Displays a strong drive for results and can overcome challenges to deliver with superior quality.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
  • A BS/BA degree or higher.
  • Analytical/Technical mindset - Enjoy challenges and determining workarounds or alternatives in response to technical and/or regulatory limitations, leveraging data and market research.
  • Experience with planning, executing, and optimizing multiple paid media campaigns simultaneously.
  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$133,300.00 - $237,100.00
