Job Description:

The Lead Test Engineer will assist in testing the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) and VA financial systems.

Position Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality throughout the software development lifecycle Participates in reviews of systems and elements under development to ensure traceability of requirement compliance through verification and validation Conducts readiness for system integration, test, evaluation, and transition activities Conduct functional, system, integration, regression testing of software applications to identify bugs and issuesDevelop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and technical specificationsRecord test results and prepare detailed defect reports for developersAnalyze test results and provide recommendations to improve software performanceActively engage in user acceptance testing (UAT) in coordination with end-usersHelp improve the quality assurance process by contributing to process improvement effortsSupport all project reporting requirements
