The Fleet Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the company's leased and owned vehicles, including but not limited to the principal functions listed below.
Responsibilities
Work with vendors to coordinate delivery of newly leased vehicles to the appropriate regions.
Coordinate with assigned drivers to facilitate the return of leased vehicles.
Develop and implement a maintenance schedule for all fleet vehicles and equipment, including regular inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
Manage the fleet maintenance and repairs as required, and other budgetary items.
Ensure entire fleet is properly licensed and registered.
Train staff on fleet management tools and equipment.
Analyze data from GPS units to identify opportunities for improving fleet efficiency and reducing costs.
Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors, including mechanics, repair shops, and GPS suppliers.
Work with internal departments on planning orders/and vehicle assignments.
Manage vehicle insurance claims/ and repairs.
Oversee DOT guidelines and compliance.
Maintain Fleet Software – Enterprise & Verizon.
Coordinate with internal departments on maintenance, inventory, and other vehicle-related needs/
Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
Three to five previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
Proficient computer skills required, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project.
Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in writing, on the telephone and in person.
Strong Analytical Skills
Automotive Knowledge preferred
