The Shipping/Receiving position is responsible for the accurate and timely receipt of inventory and matching vendor invoices with purchase orders. This role involves verifying inventory receipts, processing vendor invoices, and ensuring that all documentation aligns with company standards.
Job Responsibilities
Inventory Receipt: Receive incoming inventory and match receiving documents with corresponding purchase orders to ensure quantities and prices align. Secure authorization for any discrepancies from authorized personnel
Documentation Verification: Verify the validity of receiving documents by ensuring they have the signature of authorized warehouse personnel
Inventory Tagging: Create inventory tags for each receipt to accurately track and manage stock
Invoice Processing: Receive and match vendor invoices with corresponding purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure accuracy in quantities and prices
Off-Site Inventory: Process receipts for off-site inventory using documents received from the mill
Weight Allocation: Allocate weight on processing receipts and generate new inventory tags as needed
Reconciliation: Reconcile individual receiver printouts with receipts to ensure accuracy and completeness
Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned to support inventory management and administrative functions
Qualifications
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in an administrative support role in a professional environment, preferably in a fast-paced setting
Education: High School diploma or GED
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills
Administrative Knowledge: Familiarity with administrative and clerical procedures, including managing files and records, designing forms, and understanding office procedures and terminology
Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Physical Examination: Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility
Reliability: Demonstrated reliable work history
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and reconciliation
