The Vice President for International Affairs and the teams of staff in OVPIA's offices are the stewards of international activity across all campuses of Indiana University. Job Summary
The Center for the Study of Global Change (CGC) is seeking a Part-Time Global Learning Specialist to support its campus-wide initiatives for global learning. The incumbent will be asked to set a regular in-office working schedule and some remote work may be authorized.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
Oversees the CLIP (Client Based International Projects) Program.
Coordinates campus-wide programming around the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Provides oversight of Indiana University's online SDG badges.
Collaborates with IU Bloomington schools and departments to aid them in meeting global learning objectives.
Assists with administrative and logistical aspects of Diplomacy Lab and Global Classrooms.
Maintains relationships between department and other IU units. Maintains and updates contact lists as appropriate.
Collaborates with other departments to ensure that project objectives are achieved within established time frames.
Determines additional support needs through consultation and designs resources to meet programming support needs.
Provides experienced assistance with project management activities, resource allocation, and communication.
Monitors project progress and handles highly complex issues that arise.
Ensures projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
Performs a variety of administrative skills and prepares correspondence related to programming and projects.
Reports on progress and provides regular updates to supervisor and team.
Plans seminars, workshops, and other events
May serve as an informational resource and/or delegate tasks to administrative staff.
May provide training or guidance to students or other part-time employees and perform occasional duties in support of other functions or business needs

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Work Location
Bloomington, Indiana
This position will work primarily in-person from the newly constructed Ferguson International Center.
Occasional remote work may be considered depending upon the work needs of the department and is subject to change based on university policy and business needs.
Advertised Salary
$22.00-$24.00 per hour dependent upon experience
Work Hours
20 hours per week throughout the semester(s) and summers, with likely increases up to 29 hours per week during heavy programming periods.
