Description:
The Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) helps plan aspects of the organization's industrial security program requirements and initiatives involved with Government Department of Defense (DoD) industrial security defense contractors' program and managing aspects delegated and assigned by the Facility Security Officer (FSO).

Work Environment:
Office environment will include sitting at a desk and operating office equipment including a laptop/computer, printer and scanner, answering and speaking by telephone. The employee will occasionally be asked to travel by car or plane to remote work locations as needed. The noise level will be quiet to moderate. Other employees will occasionally pass through the work area.

The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a part-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday typically between 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position may require long hours and weekend work. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance: Obtains and Maintains Top Secret Clearance
