The Quality Specialist's responsibilities include implementing quality assurance documents to meet regulatory, corporate and SQF guidelines. Preform inspections/audits to identify production, process, or product gaps and present solutions. You will report to the Quality Manager and be onsite at the North Mankato Manufacturing Plant.
Position Responsibilities
Perform routine food safety/quality inspections, gap assessments and risk assessments.
Ensure that standards and safety regulations are observed to comply with QSHA and plant standards.
Review regulatory documentation for product release (i.e. record review) including CCP/oPP records and multiple food safety/quality documents
Write and review SOPs and other food safety/quality documents and reports.
You will perform internal audits to verify compliance with established SOP documentation, GMPs, sanitation SSOPs, and Safe Quality Food (SQF) efforts.
Lead third-party audits (i.e. SQF, regulatory, customer, and internal).
Participate in food safety/quality, CPS and process improvement projects.
Support the assessment and management of Food Safety Plans and Food Quality Plans.
Support the quality data software-Infinity QS (i.e. table maintenance, add new SKU's, review results).
Lead the cross checks, EMPC, and plant sensory program
Assist with recipe management and critical consumer complaint investigations
Other tasks as assigned.
Position Qualifications
PCQI Trained
One year of experience in quality assurance or similar field.
