As a Sourcing Manager, you will play a key role in developing and executing sourcing and procurement strategies for essential equipment, supplies, and services across the Vitalant system. You'll lead cross-functional projects, from vendor selection to contracting and contract management, ensuring we have the best resources to support Vitalant, our affiliates, and related entities.

As a Sourcing Manager, you'll get to:

  • Conduct market research on alternative products, services, and procurement sources.

  • Analyze commodity market trends, industry technology changes, regulations, and Vitalant's spending trends.

  • Prepare basic project plans to align team members and meet project milestones.

  • Evaluate RFI and RFP responses, leading a cross-functional team through vendor selection.

  • Negotiate contracts for equipment, supplies, and services, ensuring smooth transitions with new suppliers.

  • Prepare bid analyses, presentations, and cost models, recommending bidders based on Total Cost of Ownership.

  • Support management with sourcing strategies and drive change through communication and leadership.

  • Build strong relationships with strategic vendors to secure key contracts, monitor supply risks, and adapt to supplier changes.

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) preferred.

  • Five years of Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) purchasing experience required.

  • Healthcare purchasing experience preferred.

  • Experience in healthcare Supply Chain Management environment preferred.

  • Effective interpersonal and presentation skills required.

  • Effective oral and written communications skills required.

  • Strong analytical, statistical, personal organization and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and participate as an active team member.
