General Description
The position of the Administrative Specialist II provides support to academics and the Associate Vice Chancellor for Academics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Serves as the first point of contact in the Heber Springs Campus Academic Center for visitors, students, faculty, and staff
2. Collects syllabi, final exams, and other academic materials from faculty and checks content for accuracy.
3. Maintains inventory of office supplies and distributes to faculty as needed.
4. Provides administrative support to the AVC for Academics, including routine communications, updating appointment calendars and schedules, letter and email writing, IT ticket requests, processing faculty overload and adjunct payroll authorizations, assisting with course schedules, creating and distributing academic notices and informational materials, assisting with the Heber Springs Campus commencement program, and routine office management.
5. Supports academics by assisting the faculty with classroom technology, course scheduling, scanning, copying, organizing teaching materials, scheduling facilities, and proctoring exams.
6.. Serves as a point of contact and assists with scheduling, arrangements, and communications for Community Education and Workforce Education programming, student recruitment events, and other community engagement events and processes.
