Job Description Summary
The Grant Coordinator A/B works under the direction of our senior grants staff in a friendly, collaborative atmosphere. Helps to administer a portfolio which includes NIH, industry, and foundation funding. Portfolio consists of federal awards such as R01s, Fs and Ks, and a T32, and also clinical trials. Duties involve budget development, proposal submissions, award setup, subcontract setup and monitoring, maintaining financial and regulatory compliance for each project, financial transaction processing, monthly expense reporting, projections, and closeouts. S/he will also be responsible for payroll management, entering costing allocations, and processing payroll reallocations. Other duties will be performed as needed to support research administration within the Division of Translational Medicine & Human Genetics within the Department of Medicine.

Grant Coordinator B will work mostly independently and will be immediately assigned an investigator portfolio. Coordinator B will assist senior personnel with complex projects as needed and to learn about these proposals and accounts. Coordinator B will advise investigators regarding budgeting and sponsor requirements.
Qualifications
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly with Excel. Penn eRA and Ben Financials is helpful, but we will train you. The successful candidate will have an engaged and responsible attitude and a professional demeanor. S/he will demonstrate attention to detail and a proactive work style.
Federal grants policy and procedural experience is preferred.
Grant Coordinator A
Associate of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Bachelor's degree and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is PREFERRED.
Grant Coordinator B
Bachelor's degree and 2 to 4 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
