We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. Director, Product Management to spearhead product development for our Experience flagship product within our K-12 business unit. As a senior product leader, you will be involved in every aspect of product development, from strategic planning, user and market research, problem definition and prioritization, to product feature design and implementation and metric and KPI measurement. You will oversee a dynamic team of PMs and a robust cross-functional team, driving the future one of our flagship products.
In This Role You Will:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and drive the product vision and strategy for Experience, aligning it with the broader goals of Discovery Education and addressing the needs of classroom teachers, students, admins, and our business.
Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate product plans, build consensus, and align priorities with stakeholders across the organization. Present strategies and updates to senior leadership.
Product Development: Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, including planning, budgeting, design, development, and launch of new Experience product and features.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Design, Curriculum, Marketing, Sales, and other key teams to ensure seamless product delivery and to align on complex trade-offs, scope, and user experience impacts.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the cross-curricular K-12 domain.
Analytical Rigor: Experience with A/B testing, experimentation and provide data driven insights and deliver recommendations that address opportunities for product improvements.
Thought Leadership: Leverage user research, competitive analysis, industry trends, and field insights to identify impactful problems spaces and opportunities, and promote data-based decisions.
Performance Management: Own product OKRs and lead the cross-functional team in execution, managing trade-offs, staffing projections, risks, and ensuring clear, consistent communication.
Business Acumen: Develop business plans in concert with the product roadmap that balance product investment and return.

Leadership: Proven track record of exceptional people management and the ability to develop and nurture talent.
Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy.
User-Centric: Unique ability to look at things through a customer/user lens, ensuring the product meets the needs of educators, students, and admins and delivers a positive user experience.
Software Experience: Confidently drive product direction in collaboration with engineering partners.
Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus across various levels of the organization including executives.
Credentials and Experience:
Experience: 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing cross-functional teams and delivering educational products, ideally in the edtech space.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
