Molecular testing is an evolving field, driven by the growing demand for personalized medicine and the need for detailed and comprehensive testing solutions.


The Senior Sales, Genetic Testing Specialist (GTS representative) will concentrate on growing the company's genetic testing business across areas such as pharmacogenomics, infectious disease, and oncology.



How you will make an impact



The GTS representative should demonstrate a clear grasp of customer needs and the buying criteria of molecular testing laboratories, including reference laboratories and healthcare facilities. In this technical selling role, the candidate needs to showcase an in-depth understanding of molecular workflows spanning multiple technologies like quantitative PCR, digital PCR, and sequencing.


The primary duty is to meet revenue and quota goals for the genetic testing product and service portfolio. Additionally, the role requires developing and promoting strong customer relationships within the assigned territory. Collaboration with various teams and effective communication with sales teams, channel partners, and internal business partners are essential for success.


What will you do?


By combining strategic territory planning, consultative selling techniques, and cross-functional collaboration, you will drive accelerated revenue growth for our molecular testing portfolio:


  • Sell our portfolio of molecular testing products for pharmacogenomics, oncology, and infectious diseases (respiratory, gastrointestinal, women's health, wound care, etc.) to clinical laboratories across the territory.

  • Leverage consultative selling strategies to deeply understand customer goals and priorities and positioning our solutions to address their specific needs.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive territory business plan, consistently analyzing performance metrics and market intelligence to optimize selling strategies.

  • Accurately forecast the territory sales funnel and pipeline using Salesforce and other designated sales tools.

  • Provide voice-of-customer feedback to cross-functional teams to inform product requirements, competitive landscape, and training needs.

How will you get there?


  • Minimum 5 years of consultative sales experience preferably in molecular testing, life sciences, or similar markets,

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related field; or the equivalent knowledge and experience.

  • Proven track record in selling capital equipment (q/dPCR; capillary electrophoresis, or equivalent) and molecular testing solutions,

  • Proficiency at building strategic and tactical relationships and communicating value propositions to decision-makers,

  • History of success in leading sales strategies, forecasting, funnel management, and complex sales.

  • Located within the defined territory geography with the ability to travel at minimum 50% of the time

  • Valid driver's license in good standing.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $112,400.00-$168,650.00.


This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
